Cristiano Ronaldo or Tom Brady
Whilst watching the Superbowl recently someone asked if you had the choice, would you be Tom Brady, New England Patriots Quarterback in American Football or Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United and Portugal Midfielder in Football. Here are a few things to think about each of them;
Ronaldo, currently playing for Real Madrid is known for being the most expensive football player in history after his transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid, with the contract rumoured to have been 80 million and it's rumoured that he is the highest paid footballer in the team thats one reason you might choose to be him! Ronaldo was signed to Manchester United at the young age of 18 after being spotted by Alex Ferguson in 2003 for 12.24 million! Since then he has won numerous club honours and awards for his skills on the pitch, he won his first UEFA Champions League title in 2008 as well as being names player of the tournament.
As well as his football career Ronaldo opened up a fashion boutique with his sister named CR7 his initials and shirt number, it was also announced in 2009 by designer Giorgio Armani that he would take over from David Beckham and become the spokesman and model for Emporio Armani range. Ronaldo doesn't drink or smoke and it known for his generosity after giving the hospital that saved his mum's life 100,000. One final reason that might make you want to be Ronaldo is the number of gorgeous female celebrities he has been linked to over the year, and all the screaming girl fans who regular buy his annual calendar it doesn't seem like a hard life does it?!
Brady started playing American football at his college in Michigan, he then joined the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He has played in total 4 Super Bowls with the team and has won three of them, as well as this he won the Super Bowl MVP awards on February 3rd 2002 and February 1st 2004. He was also chosen for 6 Pro Bowls though he only took part in 5 having turned the 2006 invite, he also holds the NFL record for the most touchdown passes in on season. He has been voted Sports Man of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year by Associated Press, the first time for an NFL player since 1990 and The National Football League Most Valuable Player Award.
At the start of his career Brady found it difficult to cope and hired a sports psychologist, and thought about transferring to California Golden Bears football, however he battled against this and during his first year he set Michigan records for the most pass attempts and completions in a season. Brady like Ronaldo has/is a hit with the ladies, he dated actress Bridget Moynahan for 2 years, though at the time of their split Brady confirmed to a magazine that Bridget was pregnant with their first child, she gave birth to a baby boy with Brady present in 2007. Brady then married Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen in 2009 and they gave birth to their first child together in 2009, she gave birth to their son in the December.
